Rio de Janeiro :: The Other Side of Carnival

"For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction."

While all the revelry of Carnival certainly didn't create a negative reaction of equal proportions, it did throw the daily lives of the homeless into stark contrast with the joyously carefree world surrounding them.

  1. That's the time when we share the same streets and can get to know more closely that a lot of people live in it. It's not good, but Carnival is not just fantasy, right? Reality is right there, even though we just want to party. This kind of social problems are there for the whole year. The community and the goverment have to work together and figure out a way to change these people reality. As I told you before, you captured the essence, not only the good side of it. Take care, my brother.
